AI Vatsalya

A Father’s Promise, A Mother’s Lifeline

"Caring for our son, Siddh, for 34 years has shown us the profound impact of developmental challenges on a family. While some damage is irreversible, timely intervention during the "Golden Window" can fundamentally change the course of a child’s life."

"AI Vatsalya is our mission to bridge the "Last Mile". By using voice-based AI in a mother’s native language, we provide the vital information needed to act when it matters most—turning a father’s promise into a mother’s lifeline."

Uday Mehta, Founding Director

Problem Statement

The “Golden Window” of opportunity to early intervention is missed!

1. Language Barrier:

  • Important medical information is often not available in simple Marathi or Hindi.
  • The first signs of health risks are simply lost in translation, leaving mothers without a clear starting point.

2. ‘Wait and See’ Trap:

  • Many mothers cannot understand early warning signs.
  • In the absence of trusted guidance, parents are told to “wait” for a child to "grow out of it.

3. Stigma & Fear Prevent Action:

  • Fear of judgment makes families hide developmental delays
  • Mothers avoid seeking help—even from ASHA workers—due to fear of gossip

4. Navigational Blindness:

  • A mother maybe unaware of – nearby District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC) or who to contact
  • A mother maybe unaware of – Government schemes and essential benefits, e.g. POSHAN Abhiyaan, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, etc.
