Career Profile
A Consultant to Tata Trusts for last 3 years for an important skill related project, also provided services to Tata Motors as a Consultant from 2012 to 2017, for setting up world class Technical Institutes in all seven states of North –East India. Was the Global Head of Customer Care at Tata Motors from 2008 to 2012, setting up and monitoring around 2000 automobile workshops within and outside India. Led team of engineers and managers in Quality function from 1973 to 2008 in various rules, including Head of Quality. Authored a book – Failure Analysis of Auto Components (2nd Edition is expected in near future and Bengali and Tamil version is ready for printing). Currently, heading a group of engineers for Consultancy Services for Technical Training and Engineering Solutions.

• Superannuated as Vice President ( Global Customer Care and Spare Parts) Tata Motors, having covered more than 40 years in the field of Customer care and Quality in Automobile field
• In the capacity of Global Customer Care Head, pioneered various customer centric initiatives, Certified Works Manger Program, Master of Service Administration Program etc.
• Developed and implemented the ambitious ‘Quality Systems Certification’ Program and ‘Workshop Infrastructure Modernization’ Program for all Tata Motors workshops across India
• Fostered giant global network of more than 2000 workshops , dealers and authorized service stations
• Experience of 33 years in Quality, Headed Quality Operations for Tata Motors CV, Pune Plant, earlier exposure to Engines, Axles, Steering, Transmissions, Vehicle Assembly and testing quality in various roles

• Designed, developed and established multi acre ‘Advanced Driving Training Institutes’ In India and abroad
• Developed and Established Centres for ‘Reconditioning of Auto Aggregates’ within and outside India for improving fleet efficiency
• Fleet Management Experience: Service and maintenance experience of leading a team of mechanics, supervisors, engineers and managers for managing a modern fleet of around 3000 buses which included:
- Development and upgrade workshop infrastructure,
- Reconditioning of aggregates,
- Planning Customer Survey and implement appropriate actions,
- Oil, Fuel and Tire Management,
- Developed and implemented result oriented model for improving fuel efficiency of buses
